Lake Kameyama is the largest – and the only – dam lake in Chiba Prefecture. Accompanied by a walkway and a beautiful park which clearly depicts the season, visitors can enjoy cycling or hiking around this lake. Surrounded by lush nature, the lake is also famous as a fishing spot for catching Herubuna (Japanese crucian carp) and black bass. It is also possible to ride out into the lake via a sightseeing boat. The “Kameyama Lake Festival” takes place in summer, with fantastic fireworks being magnificently reflected on the surface of the water. Those visiting during the fall mustn’t miss out on the “Kameyama Autumn Festival”, where visitors can enjoy a tour of the autumnal colors.
