The main deity of Kamado Shrine is Princess Tamayo, widely known as the “God of Love”. It is said that a visit to this shrine can not only bring suitable men and women together, but also join friends, work, and nature. It is said that the Dazaifu Government Offices was built nearby so that the shrine could protect the offices from evil. Located at the base of Mt. Homan, lots of people also visit the area for seasonal events, such as during the cherry blossom season or the changing of the leaves.
