Daio Wasabi Farm, located in the heart of an area which produces wasabi, attracts 1.2 million visitors a year. Not only is this farm the largest wasabi farm in terms of size in Japan, but it also uses the water collected from melting snow in the Northern Alps to lovingly nurture the top quality wasabi. Visitors can enjoy walking around the farm via the footpath, as well as come face-to-face with some water mills. The farm was also used as the filming location for the Akira Kurosawa film, “Dreams” (1990).
