This lake is situated by Mt. Hakusan. The surface of the lake sparkles an emerald-green color due to it having some sulfur content. This sulphuric content was picked up from a number of nearby mountain streams. The Hakusan Park line towards Shiramizu Lake only rubs from the beginning of June to the end of October.
