Tsukubusuma Shrine has been selected as one of the eight scenic spots of Hakkei Island on Lake Biwa. The uninhabited island of Hakkei is also commonly known as a place of deep spiritual energy, and often referred to as “Takeo Shrine”. Lots of visitors flock to the island in June for the traditional “Takeo Island Festival”.
