This highlands, located on Mt. Yamato-Katsuragi has an altitude of 959 meters. Visitors in the spring can enjoy “A million trees in a single glance”, with the abundance of azalea, while those who visit in summer will no doubt enjoy the lush greenery. Autumnal Japanese pampas grass changes its color during autumn, while in winter the eyes can feast on the beautiful snowscape. Lots of visitors flock to the summit to see the Osaka Plain and the Nara Basin in a breathtaking 360-degree panorama.

    Approx. 15-minutes by bus from Gose Station on the Kintetsu line. Alight at "Katsuragi Ropeway-mae" bus stop. Walk for approx. 15-minutes after boarding the ropeway for about 6-minutes.
