Hoshi Hot Spring Chojukan
Sep.
This hidden lodge is located inside Joshinetsu Kogen National Park. The main building, which houses the large public bath, “Hoshi-no-Yu”, is a Western-style building which pleasantly retains the air of the Meiji era. The rustic atmosphere of the annex is registered as a National Tangible Cultural Asset. The buildings of this hot spring pleasantly suit the “old Japan” atmosphere and scenery. So much so that writers and artists alike often visit this hot spring and leave behind their pieces of art as gifts.
